Automotive Technician
We are looking for a team player to join the Carz R' Us family. We need you to have the desire to go above and beyond with any project or task at hand. As part our family, we expect you to communicate well with all coworkers and management alike.
As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be expected to perform maintenance and service on a variety of makes and models. This will include but may not be limited to:

- Perform basic auto care and maintenance such as oil changes, fluid checks and tire rotation.
- Flush and service of all fluid operated or containing systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and general work on vehicles.
- Diagnose of dash lights and other electrical issues a bonus, but not required.
- Identify problems with vehicles using diagnostic equipment.
- Test the functionality of parts and systems.
- Alignment experience is a plus, but not required at the time of hire.
- Communicate with service advisor of needed safety repairs or maintenance other than what is on the repair order.
- Help keep the shop clean and organized.
- Possess a valid state driver’s license for conducting test drives.
- Open and available to service training opportunities, whether self-paced or instructor led.
- Continue training to attain ASE certifications and necessary skills to be master technician.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-year work experience for C-tech and 3-5 years' work experience for B-tech
- Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well with others, helping when needed
- Valid Driver's License with good driving record- subject to verification
- ASE Certification is not required at time of hire but, will be expected with ongoing employment
- Keeping a presentable appearance for customers at all times
- Having own hand and air tools to facilitate job responsibilities and scanners preferable, but not required
- Have worked on a flat rate system and produced 30-50 hours consistently

Head Technician/Shop Foreman
Responsibilities and Duties
As Head Automotive Service Technician, you will be expected to perform maintenance and service on a variety of makes and models. This will include but may not be limited to:

- Perform basic auto care and maintenance such as oil changes, fluid checks and tire rotation.
- Perform safety, general service inspections, identify fluid leaks, tire wear, service light identification and unperformed maintenance.
- Perform pre-purchase vehicle inspections.
- Flush and service of all fluid operated or containing systems.
- Replace drive belt, coolant hose and light bulbs.
- Diagnose and part replacement for brakes, steering and suspension.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems.
- Repair cooling components and systems including air conditioners and engine cooling.
- Alignment experience not required, but preferred.
- Communicate with service advisor of needed safety repairs or maintenance other than what is on the repair order.
- Help keep the shop clean and organized.
- Diesel tech and/or fleet vehicle experience strongly preferred.
- Possess a valid state driver’s license for conducting test drives.
- Open and available to service training opportunities, whether self-paced or instructor led.
- ASE certifications required and achieved or driven towards Master Technician Certification
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a technician
- Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well with others, helping when needed
- Valid Driver’s License with good driving record- subject to verification
- ASE Certifications
- Keeping presentable for customers
- Having own hand and air tools to facilitate job responsibilities and scanners preferable
- Have produced 30-50 hours turned consistently
- Ability to weld (not required, but preferred)
- Self-starter that can work with minimal to no supervision

Tire/Lube Tech
Job Responsibilities:
As a Tire & Lube Tech, you will be expected to perform maintenance and service on a variety of makes and models. This will include but may not be limited to:

As a Tire & Lube Tech, you will be expected to perform maintenance and service on a variety of makes and models. This will include but may not be limited to:
- Perform oil change services, check, and top off all fluids, check tire pressures, check air and cabin filters.
- Perform safety, general service inspections identifying fluid leakage, tire wear, service light identification and unperformed maintenance.
- Perform pre-purchase vehicle inspections.
- Perform tire rotation, mounting and balancing and have basic TPMS knowledge.
- Communicate with service advisor of needed safety repairs or maintenance other than what is on the repair order.
- Help keep the shop clean and organized.
- Possess a valid state driver’s license for conducting test drives.
- Open and available to service training opportunities, whether self-paced or instructor led.
- Willing to attain ASE certifications.

Driver
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in pick up and drop off client vehicles.
- Assist automotive technicians.
- Assist in our shuttle service for clients.
- Vacuum and wash vehicles as needed.
- Help take care of building & grounds.
- Help keep the shop and offices clean and organized.
- Interested in furthering knowledge of automobile repairs.
- Possess a valid C class license (Wisconsin residents excluded from this) to get a C class license.
- Good driving record.
- Possess a valid state driver's license
Driver
Job Responsibilities:
- Deal with suppliers, provide estimates and schedule appointments, so being courteous and friendly is essential. They also need to be able to manage customer complaints diplomatically and politely.
- Be a liaison between the customer and technician, you need to be able to clearly explain the technician’s repair recommendations to customers while communicating customer needs to technicians.
- Comprehend customer questions and concerns as well as what is being said when technicians give complex service recommendations.
- Think on your feet and quickly resolve issues when customers change their minds about service work, repairs are running behind schedule or parts arrive late.
- Prepare and calculate estimates so having good math and writing skills are an essential part of the job.
- Possess a valid state driver’s license.
